I typically order size medium in your hats, and they have a roomy fit. This hat in medium has a tight fit. Haven't worn it for long periods yet, so don't know if this will be a problem.

I love this hat. It’s so easy for travel - I lay it flat in my suitcase, but if I’m out for the day and take it off as it gets to evening, I fold (or crush) it up and stuff it in my day pack. It’s great at keeping my face and neck protected from the sun, and protects my head from sunburn. I own two, but am partial to this jade/gray color.

Good sun protection and it looks like it will pack down nice and flat. The material seems a little thin to hold up to rigorous use, and the brim could be a tad wider. I think it will work very well for day hikes.
